Introduction to our Class

I am Mrs. Beyers and I am looking forward to being your new class teacher in Pre-School Monkey class. I come from South Africa. South Africa is known for its beautiful landscapes and wildlife.

Our first class topic is called ‘All about me’. We will be learning about My Body, Family, Friends, Feelings and your 5 senses. School begins promptly at 7.00am and registration closes at 7.05am.

If your child arrives after 7.05am, they will be marked late. It is essential that your child is in school on time. Active learning begins as soon as they enter the classroom. If your child is late they may miss out on something vital. School finishes at 12:45, children needs to be picked up in the classroom by their parents or designated driver.

All items of clothing needs to be clearly labelled e.g. Jumpers/ P.E. Kits. Children will need to have a healthy ‘snack” or fruit which they can eat during the first morning break. They will also need to bring in their own healthy packed lunch to school with a refillable water bottle. Please ensure that packed lunches do not contain chocolate spreads such as Nutella or any nut products due to allergies.

Children must have a hat for playtime outside. We operate a ‘no hat – no play’ policy. Children without a hat will be supervised during playtime within the classroom.

During the first few weeks I will arrange an opportunity to meet with all parents. This will give you the opportunity to meet with me and discuss general information.
