Introduction to our Class

My name is Miss Talbot and I am looking forward to being your new class teacher in Year 2 Chihuahua class. I am from a wonderful place called ‘Liverpool’ in the UK, most famous for The Beatles and Liverpool Football Club! You are going to have a fantastic time in Year 2 and I cannot wait to meet you all. For some of you lucky children this may be your second year of being a Chihuahua. Our first topic this new term is called ‘Superheroes’ and myself and Miss. Rose have many exciting things planned!

During the first few weeks I will arrange an opportunity to meet with all parents. This will give you the opportunity to meet with me and discuss any information that may be valuable such as uniforms, homework, important dates and assessments. Please ensure that children bring into school a healthy ‘snack” like fruit which they can eat during the first morning break. Children must also have a clearly labelled hat for playtime outside. We operate a ‘no hat – no play’ policy. School begins at 7.00am and registration closes at 7.05am. Any children who attend after this time will be given a late mark. School finishes at 1.30pm so please ensure prompt pick up.

Welcome Letter Chihuahua Class

Introduction to our Class

My name is Miss Rose and I will be your teacher for this year in Rabbit class. I am originally from Orpington which is just outside of London but now my family live in Hastings, East Sussex. Charles Darwin the famous scientist is from a village called Downe that is not too far away from Orpington and there is a house called Bateman’s just up the road from Burwash where Rudyard Kipling lived, famous for writing ‘The Jungle Book’.

Our first topic this new term is called ‘Superheroes’ and myself and Miss. Talbot have many exciting things planned! Children in Rabbit class will each have an account on class DoJo where their house points for hard work and good behaviour will be recorded. Each child and parent will have a login so you are able to see your child’s successes for yourself.

During the first few weeks I will arrange an opportunity to meet with all parents. This will give you the opportunity to meet with me and discuss any information that may be valuable such as uniforms, homework, important dates and assessments. Please ensure that children bring into school a healthy ‘snack’ like fruit which they can eat during the first morning break. Please also ensure that packed lunches do not contain chocolate spreads such as Nutella or any nut products due to allergies Children must also have a clearly labelled hat for playtime outside. We operate a ‘no hat – no play’ policy. School begins at 7.00am and registration closes at 7.05am. Any children who attend after this time will be given a late mark. School finishes at 1.30pm so please ensure you are prompt to pick them up. Late arrivals can affect children’s performance in school and if this happens often, they may not progress as much as they could as well as missing vital information.
