B. Comm, PGCE

Having completed my B.Comm, I received my PGCE and returned to Ireland where I taught in two growing multi-denominational schools.

After a number of years, I wanted to further develop my skills in meeting the needs of all children and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Special Education. This area sparked further interest where I undertook a Masters in Education along with a Postgraduate Certificate in The Principles of Art Therapy.

Here in Doha British School, I am a Reception teacher, where I enjoy applying my skills to create a fun, dynamic and happy learning environment to engage my students.

This necessitates my use of different teaching styles to meet the requirements of each age range, to ensure the pupils are gaining the most possible from their PE lessons. My ambition is to ignite a passion in pupils to participate in lifelong sport alongside their learning, through extra-curricular activities or through core PE.
